Jesus promises<br />to be present with them every time that happens. The word "church" means a gathering or<br />assembly. It is simply a gathering of Jesus' disciples. In the Book of Acts and in Paul's<br />letters we read that they met in homes, ate meals together, took communion, studied the<br />apostles' doctrine, worshipped and prayed together and ministered to one another.<br />In many places in the world today, these gatherings are called "house church." There is a<br />massive return worldwide to the simplicity of the primitive church.
